TCS Excellence in Computer Science (TECS) Week 2008

TECS Week is organized to bring the highest quality education in Computer Science to the most gifted young computer scientists in developing countries.

TECS Week is jointly conducted by International Institute for Software Technology (IIST), United Nations University and Indian Association for Research in Computing Science (IARCS).



Topic : Human Computer Interaction, Virtual Reality, and Data Visualization

Human Computer Interaction, Virtual Reality, and Data Visualization is the topic for this year’s TECS Week, both because of its high industrial relevance and the growing scientific interest in formalizing such technologies. This course will cover a broad spread of issues, including the design and analysis of human computer interfaces, challenges in designing interfaces for visually impaired people as well as rural and urban-slum residents, design of immersive and virtual environments, as well as metaphors and challenges in large-scale data visualization.
