Astrolife.com Bought From People Group By Business...

Read this on Medianama, about the takeover  of Astrolife.com by Raj Rao from the Poeple Group  ( Shaadi.com ).
I guess it was not a big enough opportunity for People Group, but it is a good move by Raj as the project does seem to have a lot of potential, considering the amount of faith people globally have on the science of astrology.

Google investing more into Open Sourse

Recently googleh has poured a hansome amount of

$300,000 into OSL (Open Source Lab).

These funds will be used for some open source projects like

Mozilla Firefox browser, Apache(a Web
Server) and Drupal (a content management system ).

DFJ-TIE India Venture Challenge Award Ceremony in ...

I am most likely to attend this event in Hyderabad,anyone else attending pls connect.

DFJ & TiE conducted a national level business plan competition that saw participation from over 125 budding and aspiring entrepreneurial teams from across India. The teams went through two rounds of stringent evaluation and selection. At each round, participants were given feedback on their proposals. DFJ and TiE are now ready to announce two winners from the 10 finalists short-listed by a team of judges comprising of charter members from TiE and DFJ.

As announced earlier, the first prize winner will receive seed funding of USD 100000 and the second prize winner will receive seed funding of USD 50000.
