I have been an active member of ITVidya.com for the past one month or so. So maybe when I make the allegations I'm about to make I might receive a lot of flame and rebukes. But heck !!! thats exactly what I want to do.
For the past few days, I have been regularly visiting this site and found that some members have some excellent technical/industry blogs which are updated on a daily basis.
The content of these Blogs is so informative that I cannot help but visit all the related site, come back and comment on them. This, I feel, should be the essence of what ITVidya.com stands for ( as can be clearly discerned from the Vision Statements)
The text formatting of blogs is now OK, at least as far as the initial entry goes. In particular, the spacing within paragraphs is now less than the spacing BETWEEN paragraphs. However....
....within the comments, the space within and the space between are, as far as I can tell, identical. This makes the comments exactly as difficult to read as the blogs were before their spacing was changed.
It seems a little imagination and lateral thinking is required here, not to mention reusable text formatting code....
All the best,
Patrick
While Om Malik, screams about saving internet, the internet pioneers are talking about the future of the internet. Web pioneer Vint Cerf and tech pundit Esther Dyson to discuss what they expect in the next 10 years. Hi,
Wanna, give a ride to Amazon, Google & Yahoo!. We have an idea :) and we are looking for a Database architect. We are a web 2.0 startup and in the final stages of releasing our design collaboration app called TracBac [http://www.tracbac.com]. We are now looking at a much bigger, revolutionary idea, for which great minds to work on the server / database side of it. We are looking for architects either as consulting / hire or even for a small equity stake in the entire venture. drop in a line at narain at 360in dot com and btw, if you want to learn more about our work, you can just check
At the moment, if you think of Web 2.0 sites, your list is likely to include mostly businesses with a technical (horizontal) focus or no focus at all. Sites like flickr (photos), del.icio.us (browser favourites), last.fm (music) and technorati (tags) have made a big splash, and pointed the way for specific Web 2.0 functions. Other well-known sites, such as Blogger, Blogspot, MySpace and Facebook have taken a broad approach, and built up enormous subscriber bases in a short time.
My first blog entry is not so much a contribution as a question. This is my third attempt at a log-in, the first two having failed. The only difference in my behaviour is that this one is using Microsoft Internet Explorer while the two failed attempts were from Mozilla Firefox. Was my choice of browser the reason for the failures?
