A fortune teller's crystal ball would be the ultimate gadget, but some tech companies and product-design firms are already peering into the future of personal computing, communications tools, and consumer gadgets. While it's tempting to place some of these gadgets on your holiday wish list for, say, 2007, many are merely creative exercises and could take a decade to hit the market -- if at all.
