Nominations for Manthan Award:
DEF received 264 nominations across 15 categories from 8 countries in South Asia. In the past, DEF has received nominations across length and breadth of the Country. DEF received rich contributions from different perspectives. Every nomination has a unique flavor of its roots.
Digital Empowerment encourages grassroot level initiatives which have adopted innovative usage of technology to connect masses. These initiatives can be introduced by Social Entrepreneur through NGOs, progressive Government departments or under the umbrella of Corporate Social Responsibility and proactive Academic Institutes.
The novel integration of technology in the social fabric can involve creative use of following technologies-Broadband/Online, Mobile Content, Cross Media, Offline, TV/Interactive TV, Radio, Web / Internet, Blog, CD DVD, Telephone, Wireless WAP, Mobile/PDA, Satellite etc.
Nominations Concern:
- The nominees are required to nominate themselves for Manthan Award.
- Incase they would like to nominate for multiple nominations they are supposed to fill up the separate nomination form for the same.
- Incase it’s a joint collaboration than either of the party could take the responsibility to fill up the nomination form.
- All the completed nomination forms can be sent latest by 15, September 2009 at manthanaward@gmail.com, manthanaward@defindia.net
