ELITEX 2008

The Department of Information Technology (DIT) has been supporting the research and development effort in the areas of electronics and information technology at various institutions. To disseminate information on these technologies and products developed through this effort among the users and the industry, the Department has been organizing, an annual interaction, Electronics & Information Technology Exposition (ELITEX), which is now an eagerly awaited event in the calendar of technology meets.

• The Seminar during ELITEX-2008 will cover the state-of-the-art technologies and will provide special focus on the theme.
• The exhibition will focus on the technologies/know-how developed at various institutions under DIT.
• The ELITEX-2008 will have official participation from all Countries. All member countries of Asia Electronics Info-Communications Union (AEIU) are being specially invited to participate in the event.
• ELITEX-2008 will also focus on presentations from the States in India.

State Governments are requested to exhibit the available/proposed e-governance facilities and the status of IT industry in their respective States. State Governments will also be requested to ensure the dissemination of information generated through the ELITEX-2008 in their respective States.

ELITEX 2008 would provide a unique opportunity

• For industry to pick a product/technology for commercial exploitation
• For R&D and Academics institutes to identify industry needs
• Experience sharing and interaction with experts interaction with
  
  1. commercial attachés and delegates of other countries;
  2. among the technology developers and technology users.

Schedule

ELITEX-2008 will be held during January 17-18, 2008 at India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road , New Delhi. The theme of ELITEX-2008 is “SECURING INDIAN CYBER SPACE”.

The Hon'ble Minister for Communications & Information Technology, Shri A. Raja will inaugurate the exposition on January 17, 2008 at 1000 hrs.
