New Mindset - Deming Philosophy |
|
The formulation of a strategy to develop a sustainable competitive advantage begins with a serious introspection on the current culture of the enterprise – how it is organized (its systems and processes), how its business processes are managed, how the individuals interact with each other, how the organization treats the employees, and as to what extent employees’ needs are satisfied on the Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. New ways of looking at an organization such as Deming philosophy, systems thinking and process-oriented approach offer some new perspectives and new insights to overcome problems faced in the current environment.

Process Review System |

When organizations adopt systems thinking and a process-oriented approach covered in the Anaar Roadmap Basics, there is an increased awareness that over 90% of the causes for the output - good or bad - are in the way things are done (systems and processes). When things go wrong, managers first ask "what in the process is breaking down or is inadequate?" not "who did it?" Here the focus is first on processes and not people. There is a change in the concept of how output is produced - from ‘people produce output’ to ‘processes produce output’ and that we need to empower employees to improve their processes. How to describe your organization’s processes will be covered.

Strategy Integration Process |

The Strategy Integration Process involves the following seven phases:
- Describing the entire enterprise as a network of processes for aligning thinking of all employees to support the common business goals
- Identifying organizational focus areas - goals - for the next fiscal year (FY)
- Identifying constraints in the processes that are limiting organizational performance at current levels
- Identifying enterprise-wide system improvements to overcome the constraints
- Integrating these system improvement projects into organizational processes to assure ownership of implementation
- Finalizing values for the goals for the next FY
- Reviewing monthly the implementation of these improvement Project
