Now you can be “The Most Popular Blogger of India” and ” Win iPod” both.
Theproblogger.com presents the Pro Blogging Contest which is an attempt to identify the best bloggers of India. This is a great opportunity for indian bloggers to gain recognition in the blogosphere.
I believe that professional blogging in India is still very low. Though blogging as such has grown by leaps and bounds in India, there are few, indepth professional blogs by people living in India (Please note, I did not say Indians).

Google announced a new search solution that allows you to create your own search engine.
Google made it very simple to add to site and completely customize it.Within a short time I rolled it out, fully integrated and customized my site Tech Tonic. Because of the slick custom install I’ve written for Wordpress it will automatically be added to new sites. With how easy this is to customize I just don’t understand why some people are leaving it with the default “look and feel” pointing to Google.

I'm participating in a Google SEO event, and currently i’m at 3rd-6th position for most of the keywords.
So currently i tried to use a PR7 link and see what happens if it stays there for say 1 day.
Would i be able to hit the top from 3rd within 3 days? I don't know, but i'll defnitly try.
Genrally it takes atleast a week to get the affect your SERPS in google, but i am seeing that google is updating results for this SEO contest within 2-3 days.

Indian Webmasters Community is an Internet marketing & Search Engine Optimization forum especially for Indian Webmasters.
This seems to be a pritty cool website for all those Indian webmasters using DP & webmastersworld and want a sperate community forum like that for them.
Allthough this is a relatively new community, but it seems quite promising for me!

Common misconceptions about Java pointers!

It’s a common misconception that Java has no pointers. It’s not exactly true. Java has pointers, they’re just not explicit. Every object is a reference to a location making it a pointer… you just can’t manipulate the pointers directly.
Which approach is better.. explicit or not? Well, that very much depends on the context and scope of the application. I’m sure everyone who ever went through learning C will however agree that non-explicit pointers are sure as hell easier to comprehend for someone who is just learning programming.
