Discovered this interesting project via TechMeme which claims to be the world's only open-source user-generated webtop where anyone can contribute right away like a wiki.
Think about how you use a book. You want to read it, sure--but there are a host of other ways for you to interact with the words between the covers. You might want to flip through the pages to find an image. You might want to open right up to the table of contents so you can find your favorite chapter. And you might want to pass it along to a friend so they can have a look at it, too.
Google books attemps to offer several interactive and innovative features to reader.
Freeman Murray has this interesting blog post on VentureWoods looking at alternate ways for angels to profit from their investment. It rightly assumes that Angels rarely make a decent exit, and the money can be perpetually locked. So what could be the way out ? How long should an angel investor wait for returns ? Should he start withdrawing from the revenues ?
It is a really good post, and certainly clear answers to this will raise the confidence of Angels to fund startups.
Read this on Medianama, about the takeover of Astrolife.com by Raj Rao from the Poeple Group ( Shaadi.com ).
I guess it was not a big enough opportunity for People Group, but it is a good move by Raj as the project does seem to have a lot of potential, considering the amount of faith people globally have on the science of astrology.
All the best to Raj Rao.

Ajay

Google was rated the top brand as part of the brand valuation process conducted by BrandZ Top 100.
The BrandZ Top 100 is the most comprehensive and robust brand ranking available. The valuations are based not only on financial and market data but also on BrandZ – the world’s largest brand equity database.
The valuation process included
1. Branded EarningsWhat proportion of a company’s earnings is generated “under the banner of the brand”?
Are you facing falling customer orders? Slower renewals? Cancellations? Requests for ever-deeper discounts?
Those are silly questions. Of course you are experiencing these recession symptoms. And you have probably cut budgets and jobs more than you like.
