Q1. When and how did you start with being a security technologist?
The interest in this field started during graduation days. The main reason was my dislike towards coding so I thought administration & security would be fun but never knew that coding will not leave my life.
Q2. Describe about your expertise you gained in cyber crime investigation and in IT Infrastructure management
In cyber security I had assisted officials in many investigations and also taught different police departments like Pune, Malaysia, Mauritius etc. As per infrastructure management is concerned, I had setup a few major networks and also create a complete data center from scratch.
Q3. You have also worked with military agencies and government bodies, How was that experience?
Experience with law enforcement agencies is good, they are willing to learn and are always helpful.
Q4. You also are actively involved in teaching security and related subjects, How did that happen? and how is the teaching experience?
Teaching is my passion and I still continue to do the same. I still take guest lectures at places.
Q5. When and how did ClubHack happen? and what has it in store in future?
ClubHack had its first international convention last year on 9th December and it was a great success, Since then I have represented ClubHack in many places and have given a number of talks on cyber security including the prestigious "Hi-Tech Pune". ClubHack participates in BarCamp too and spread knowledge about cyber security. Future: ClubHack2008 is planned in the December this year and I hope it will be bigger success this year. Q6. We would love to know your few successful cases and some memorable incidents
As a policy I'm not allowed to disclose about cases assisted by me.
Q7. We have also heard about a new initiative Kautilya Business House, what is it all about?
Kautilya Business House is not a new initiative, its my family business running since many years now and deals in various fields including industries and agriculture. Its handled by my elder brother and I'm available for assistance.
Q8. What are your future plans?
A lots of them, time is less and dreams are more.
Q9. What message do you have for the future IT workforce to spread the security awareness?
Don't be the weakest link in IT security and spread knowledge as much as you can.
