The Webdesign International Festival and its official Indian partner, Ray & Keshavan Design will be hosting a pre-selection round for professional and amateur web designers in Bangalore on 18 January 2008. In April 2008, The world’s largest Web designing competition -- Webdesign International Festival is going to welcome the best Web designers from all over the world and important players of the web design industry to the city of Limoges, in central France. The winning team from India will be invited to France on an all expenses paid trip on the 17, 18 and 19 of April to participate in the Grand Finale.“We would like to urge Indian web designers to register and participate in the festival to showcase their talent and share their expertise on and International platform. India is one of the most important countries for us,” said Aude Bourliataux, Head of Public Relations and International Business Development, WIF.With a global representation of 26 participating countries, this competition will bring together teams from Brazil, Japan, Portugal, USA, Sweden, Indonesia, Hong-Kong, Algeria, Canada and so on.The pre-selections shall take place on 18 January at 6.30pm at Bangalore's The Park Hotel. The FTP Access will close on January 19 at 6.30pm.The Organisers have entered into a partnership with Adobe and CIOL (Cybermedia) as their official media partner in India. 2006 WIF figures: 30,000 on site visitors, almost 1,500 live video connections to the Web site, 450 peak listening hours, up to 230 simultaneous broadcast connections, 14 nationalities, special reports on LCI and BBC World News.The WIF takes place on ESTER – Limoges’s Science and Technology Park. Among others, it aims at promoting Limoges e-Design excellence pole and the Limousin region.
